Boucherville, July 5, 2021—BMR Group is pleased to welcome Mr. Simon Gouin as Senior Director, Business Development – Eastern Canada.

With over 15 years of experience in business development in the construction and renovation industry, Mr. Gouin is a graduate of HEC Montréal in business administration. He managed hardware stores for over 9 years before holding various management positions in sales and business development. In his new role, Mr. Gouin will oversee the development of the dealer network in Québec, Ontario, and the Maritimes as well as BMR’s business relationship with current dealers.

“We are very pleased to have Mr. Gouin join the BMR family. As a former dealer in our industry, not only does he know the ins and outs of our business sector, but he will be able to understand the reality, the needs and the challenges of our current and future dealers. This makes him an outstanding ally for them, as well as for our entire team,” says Jonathan Gendreau, Vice President, Strategy and Network Development at BMR Group. Recall that BMR Group has experienced sustained growth over the past 5 years, with consolidated sales increasing from $857 million in 2016 to over $1.1 billion in 2020. BMR is confident that it will surpass its ambitious goal of increasing its sales by $200 million in 2021 thanks to the addition of new dealers, an objective to which Mr. Gouin will contribute directly.

“I am convinced that the team formed by Mr. Gendreau and Mr. Gouin will allow BMR to continue and even accelerate the growth we have been experiencing for the past few years.

Both of them possess an in-depth knowledge of our industry, a sharp business sense and an excellent strategic vision, which are major assets for our company,” says Mr. Alexandre Lefebvre, Chief Executive Officer of BMR Group.
