POTVIN & BOUCHARD INAUGURATES ITS NEW STORE IN CHICOUTIMI
3.1 million dollar investment
Chicoutimi, June 16, 2017 – Potvin & Bouchard, which celebrates 85 years of existence this year, is proud to have inaugurated its new store in Chicoutimi last night. The 3.1 million dollar investment allowed the company to complete the entire renovation of the 50 000 square foot store.
The work included the construction of a brand new and more modern facade, the installation of wood structures inside the store and a completely new layout of the store’s departments for a more intuitive shopping experience.

And more so, I am immensely proud of the Potvin & Bouchard stores that are not only celebrating 85 years of business, but also positioning themselves for the next 10 years by building stores that stand out from the competition. Our stores are modern and welcoming and they offer a wide selection of products for homeowners as well as residential and commercial contractors,” said Potvin & Bouchard’s Managing Director, Michel Leclerc.
The goal of this renovation project was to improve customer experience in store. It is part of a large-scale project to improve store design and customer service for all of Groupe BMR’s corporate stores.
Accompanied by Jacques Cleary, City Councilman, Pascal Houle, CEO of Groupe BMR, and Martin Lecomte, Vice-President Retail for Groupe BMR, Michel Leclerc commended Potvin & Bouchard’s partners for the quality of the work performed. Several of these partners are local companies such as Unibec, Vitrerie Fortin, Électricité du Fjord, Fermo, Gemel and Planitech.
