Potvin & Bouchard celebrates 90-year anniversary 

Boucherville, May 3, 2022 – This year marks the 90th anniversary of hardware store Potvin & Bouchard, established in Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean from its earliest beginnings. There will be a number of promotional offers in place all year long to celebrate this major milestone in the brand’s history.

Potvin & Bouchard started out in 1932, as a partnership between Adélard Bouchard and Ovila Potvin. In 2008, BMR Group’s investors acquired its distribution centre and four renovation centres but kept the banner’s name, well known as it is in the region.

“Potvin & Bouchard is a family affair!” said Annie Bouchard, Purchasing Director at Potvin & Bouchard. “I’m certain that my grandfather Adélard would be very happy today to see how his business has grown. He and Ovila never thought that their business, at the time a carpenter’s workshop and timber yard, would be such a success, 90 years later, with over 200 employees. We are all so proud of this achievement.”
