La Quincaillerie Notre-Dame de Saint-Henri Inc., a flagship of Quebec's construction and renovation industry, joins the BMR family
Boucherville, December 10, 2025 – BMR is enthusiastic to welcome La Quincaillerie Notre-Dame de Saint-Henri Inc., a true institution in the Saint-Henri neighbourhood of Montreal, to its network. After more than 50 years of association with a competing banner, the company's two branches will now fly the colours of BMR, the Expert Centre.
Founded in 1889 by Mr. Georges Lanouette (the 3rd of that name), the company took root on St-Jacques Street, now known as Georges-Vanier Boulevard, where it opened its very first store. Guided by a deeply rooted passion, the Lanouette family passes down its expertise and commitment to the community from generation to generation. A second location specializing in construction materials, the Centre de rénovation St-Patrick, opened in 1994 in the Pointe-Saint-Charles neighbourhood. Today, with a team of 80 employees and a total sales area of 37,000 sq.ft., the family legacy has endured thanks to the founder's great-grandsons, Marc Lanouette, and the late Jean Lanouette, until his passing in April 2023.
