GROUPE BMR INVESTS 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS IN THE OSTIGUY & FRÈRES BMR STORE
Boucherville, August 24, 2016 Groupe BMR inc. announces the acquisition of the land adjacent to its Ostiguy & Frères corporate stores located at 1000 Industriel blvd in Chambly where they will build a new warehouse for building materials. This project represents a total investment of 2.5 million dollars: 1.3 million dollars to purchase the land and 1.2 million dollars to build the warehouse. Construction starts today and should end in December 2016.
“As a leader in the retail of building materials in Chambly, we are always looking for ways to better serve customers and contractors. Adding a new warehouse for building materials right next to our store was a necessary step for Groupe BMR and we seized the opportunity when it presented itself. Having a direct access to the warehouse will allow us to be more efficient and flexible”, said Martin Lecomte, Retail Vice-President for Groupe BMR. This investment reflects Groupe BMR’s desire to improve customer experience in its corporate stores and is in line with the recent announcement of a 1 million dollar investment for its Beloeil store.
