OFFICIAL RULES

The “12 days of prizes” is a contest held by BMR Group Inc. (the “contest organizers”). It will take place on BMR.ca from December 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. EST to December 12, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EST (the “contest period”). No purchase necessary. 

 

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to all private persons of legal age residing in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick or Nova Scotia at the time of entry. However, all persons for whom the promotional contest is held, their employers, representatives and agents, and all persons with whom they are domiciled are prohibited from entering the contest.

 

CONTEST INTRODUCTION 

From December 1 to December 12, 2023, entrants can fill out the online form at BMR.ca for the chance to win one of 12 prizes, each hidden behind one of the squares of our Advent calendar. 

Each morning, the prize of the day will be announced on social media. The winner of that prize will be drawn the following morning. The winners will receive the prize for which they are drawn and do not choose their prize. 

Entering the contest once automatically makes entrants eligible for all subsequent draws in this contest after the date of their entry.

 

HOW TO ENTER

Eligible persons wishing to enter the contest must complete an online form, available at “https://www.bmr.ca/en/christmas-contest” on BMR.ca, during the contest period. 

Only one entry can be submitted per email address. Completing the form entitles entrants to be entered automatically in all subsequent draws after the date of their entry, unless an entrant wins a prize. 

 

PRIZES

There is one prize per day to be won for 12 consecutive days. The total value of all the prizes combined is $1,154. 

The 12 prizes to be won are: 

- December 1 prize (drawn on December 2): a DeWalt rechargeable LED lamp
- December 2 prize (drawn on December 3): a set of DeWalt Max Fit screwdrivers and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 3 prize (drawn on December 4): a set of DeWalt Flextorq Impact Ready bits and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 4 prize (drawn on December 5): a pair of DeWalt knee pads and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 5 prize (drawn on December 6): a DeWalt steel hammer and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 6 prize (drawn on December 7): a DeWalt 3:1 chalk reel with blue chalk and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 7 prize (drawn on December 8): a DeWalt mini speaker
- December 8 prize (drawn on December 9): a DeWalt premium rafter square and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 9 prize (drawn on December 10): a DeWalt TOUGHSERIES™ measuring tape and a $50 gift card
- December 10 prize (drawn on December 11): a DeWalt wide-opening tool bag
- December 11 prize (drawn on December 12): a DeWalt premium 24-in. I-beam level and a $50 BMR gift card
- December 12 prize (drawn on December 13): a DeWalt 10-compartment organizer and a $50 BMR gift card 

Gift cards are redeemable at all Agrizone, BMR, BMR Express and BMR Pro stores.  

Each winner can claim no more than one prize. Consequently, 12 different winners will be drawn at random for this contest. 

 

DRAW

The winners will be determined by random draw from all eligible entrants in Boucherville, at the BMR Group office located at 1501 Ampère Street, Suite 200.  

The draws will take place on the following dates: 

- Prize 1: December 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST
- Prize 2: December 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST
- Prize 3: December 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST
- Prize 4: December 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 5: December 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 6: December 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 7: December 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 8: December 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 9: December 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 10: December 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 11: December 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 
- Prize 12: December 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST 

The contest organizers will email the winners at the address provided in their contest entry form. The winners will be asked to reply to an email from the contest organizers in order to claim their prize. 

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest period. 

 

CLAIMING A PRIZE

Before being declared a winner, the selected participant must:

1. Reply to the email from the contest organizers no more than 72 hours after the initial email was sent. Winners must follow the given instructions. If the organizers attempt to email a winner and the message fails to be received, that winner will be disqualified, and a new winner will be determined, for that prize only, in the same manner as provided for in the Draw section, as soon as possible.

2. Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question when they contact the contest organizers by email.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Verification. To be declared a winner, selected participants must meet the contest entry conditions and the eligibility requirements provided for in the present rules. Failure to meet any of these conditions will result in the winner’s automatic disqualification, and a new winner will be determined for the prize in question. Any entry that is either fraudulent or registered or submitted late may be rejected and will not be eligible for either the random draw or a prize.

The names of the winners will be announced on BMR.ca. Winners will be announced no later than 4 days after the date of the winner’s name being drawn. 

Communication with participants. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with the contest participants except in compliance with the rules, at the contest organizers’ initiative or in the context of a business relationship already established between the participants and the contest organizers.

Prize acceptance. Each prize must be accepted as described in the present rules and can at no time be transferred in whole or in part to another party, replaced by another prize, or exchanged for cash, except as provided for in the following paragraph.

Prize substitution. In the event that it is impossible, difficult, or costlier for the contest organizers to award the prize (or part of the prize) as described in the present rules, BMR Group Inc. reserves the right to replace the prize (or part of the prize) with one of the same kind and of equivalent value or, at its sole discretion, with the cash value of the prize (or part of the prize) as indicated in the present rules.

 

Limitation of liability:

Use of the prize. By entering this contest, all participants release the contest organizers, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or associated with the contest organizers, and their advertising and promotional agencies, employees, representatives and agents from any liability for any damages resulting from the acceptance or use of their prize.

Authorization. By entering the contest, the participant authorizes BMR Group Inc. to use, if necessary, their name, Facebook profile picture, city, voice, image or statements related to their prize for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation. The winner waives any moral rights and assigns to BMR Group Inc. any economic rights associated with the use or distribution of their name or image related to their prize for advertising, commercial or other purposes.

Disqualification. Any entry or attempted entry using electronic, automated or other means contrary to the spirit of the contest (e.g., computer piracy, bots, multiple email accounts) will be automatically disqualified and may be referred to the appropriate legal authorities. The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify a participant or cancel one or more entries if the person is entering or attempting to enter the contest using means that do not comply with the present rules or that are unfair to the other participants.

Contest modifications.  BMR Group Inc. reserves the right to modify, cancel or suspend the contest without notice, subject to any necessary approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.

Dispute. For Quebec residents, any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties resolve the dispute.

Decisions made by the contest organizers. Any decision made by the contest organizers or their representatives relating to this contest is final and binding, subject to any decision by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, with respect to any matter within its jurisdiction.

Limitation of liability: operation of the contest. BMR Group Inc. is not responsible for any non-compatibility or failure of the participant’s computer equipment that may prevent them from participating in the contest.
