BMR Announces a Strategic First Acquisition for Émile Charette & Fils, under the BMR Express Banner

Boucherville, August 18, 2025 – BMR is proud to announce the expansion of its network in the Outaouais region, thanks to the acquisition of a new store by the Émile Charette & Fils team. As of today, Comptoir agricole Salette officially becomes BMR Express Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, with the goal of making it a specialized establishment, notably by offering Agrizone products.

Located in the Buckingham sector of Gatineau, Émile Charette & Fils has been well-established since the founding of its first store, a general store at the time, in 1956. In 1993, the business was taken over by the family of Ms. Josée Levert, who remains the sole shareholder to this day. Driven by a clear vision for growth and a passion for business development, Ms. Levert is today making a second strategic acquisition with the goal of creating synergy between service points, optimizing operating costs, and consolidating the company's regional presence.

"We are very proud to announce the integration of this branch, which has been deeply rooted in our community for over 50 years. This acquisition represents an opportunity to diversify our offering, reach a new market segment, and actively participate in local development, a fundamental value for our team," says Josée Levert.

In the short term, interior and exterior renovations will be undertaken to modernize the store and update its layout. A review of the product selection and an enhancement of the agricultural and materials offerings are also planned, with the goal of better meeting the needs of the current market and supporting all types of projects.

"We are pleased to see our brand take even deeper root in Quebec thanks to the Émile Charette & Fils team, a family business that embodies human values of passion and trust. This strategic acquisition surely marks the beginning of a promising growth phase for the organization," emphasizes Antonio Di Pasquale, Chief Operating Officer.
