Appointment of Mr. John-Sebastian Bignell as Vice President, Operations

BMR is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John-Sebastian Bignell as Vice President, Operations. He will assume his new role on September 21 and will report to Charles Grégoire-Béliveau, Chief Executive Officer of BMR.

With more than 25 years of experience transforming complex supply chains across the manufacturing, food and retail sectors, Mr. Bignell joins BMR after more than seven years with Lactalis Canada. During his tenure, he held several positions, including National Director, Warehousing; National Director, Transportation; and, most recently, Vice President, Logistics. Previously, he also gained extensive experience with Groupe Jean Coutu (Metro Inc.) as Senior Director, Distribution, as well as with Sobeys as Head of Operations, Inventory.

Mr. Bignell holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from McGill–HEC Montréal, as well as certificates in administration and human resources management from UQÀM. He is recognized for his composure in complex situations, sound judgment and ability to successfully lead sustainable transformations.

As Vice President, Operations, he will be responsible for leading activities related to distribution centres, logistics and deliveries to dealers. In particular, he will focus on optimizing the flow and efficiency of the supply chain while maintaining a high level of service across BMR’s entire network of dealers and cooperatives.
