Appointment of Ms. Catherine Tessier as Vice President, Merchandising

Boucherville, July 30, 2026 – BMR is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Catherine Tessier as Vice President, Merchandising, effective September 21. She will report to Charles Grégoire-Béliveau, Chief Executive Officer of BMR.

With more than 10 years of experience in merchandising and category management, Ms. Tessier joins BMR after spending over seven years with a competing retail banner, where she held the positions of Category Director and Merchandising Manager. Prior to that, she gained extensive experience at Metro Inc., a leading Canadian food and pharmacy retailer.

Ms. Tessier holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from HEC Montréal. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and strong results-oriented approach.

As Vice President, Merchandising, Ms. Tessier will be responsible for defining and leading the commercial strategy for BMR's hardware product categories. She will also oversee the teams responsible for promotions, private brands, merchandising, and import operations, ensuring the consistent and effective execution of the company's merchandising strategy.
